Happy Turkey Tuesday, friends!
I am well aware there are about a bazillion and one recipes for chili out there, but what’s one more, especially if it’s turkey chili, right?
This week, I tried a new turkey chili recipe shared by a blogger I really enjoy at A Lovely Living. I loved how it was jam-packed with two kinds of beans, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, and ground turkey. It was filling but not too heavy, with plenty of protein and other nutrients. And it seemed just about perfect for a Sunday night meal when it was, oh, about -6 degrees outside.
I followed the recipe exactly. If you are the type who might like a little more heat, then I’d add some red pepper flakes and perhaps one or two chopped jalapeno peppers. Teacher Man and I actually put a little Cajun seasoning to taste on our bowls of chili and agreed this was pretty tasty.
That’s the beauty of ground turkey – and this chili recipe: you can really mix up the seasonings to make it your own.
Enjoy!
