We’re hosting Thanksgiving for my family this year and I couldn’t be more excited!

It’s funny, I’ve spent the better part of almost 30 years working in the poultry industry, with much of my focus on turkeys. But this is the first time I think I’ve hosted Thanksgiving for my family. No pressure or anything!! 😀

That’s why I was thinking it might be fun to share my a few of my Turkey Day essentials with you.

None of these items are fancy or different in any way. This is just a solid list of essentials that can help make your Thanksgiving — or any holiday meal — a little easier in the kitchen. (With some really comfy, wide-leg pants thrown in for good measure!)

My family’s Thanksgiving menu is classic in every way. We don’t stray too far from all of our tried-and-true favorites: roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, my Grandma Anderson’s stuffing recipe, cranberries (homemade!), green bean casserole (I’m partial to this homemade version from the blog Longbourn Farm), yams, dinner rolls (this year, I made this recipe from Magnolia), and plenty of pie, of course.

Without further ado, here are few of my recommended Turkey Day essentials. These are all affiliate links on Amazon and most of these items could, in theory, be shipped to you by Wednesday if you need them.

Without further ado, here are a few of my Turkey Day Essentials:

3.5 quart Edging Dutch Oven (many beautiful colors available)

Perfect Wide Leg Pants (because comfy pants are a must on Thanksgiving!)

  1. Of course I had to click first on your choice of wide-leg pants, Lara. Nice ones! Thank you and happy turkey day!

    • I love it, Catherine! I have been searching for the right pair of wide leg pants for my body type and height — and I have been loving these. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
