It’s Minnesota State Fair time (Thursday is opening day!) and soon thousands of folks will descend upon the fairgrounds in Saint Paul to check out the exhibits, take in the midway, and – most importantly – eat like there’s no tomorrow!
It’s all about the food, right?
The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association and its sister organization, Minnesota Turkey Council, have been part of the State Fair festivities since the late 1950s. And I have yet to miss the State Fair in my 21 years of working for Minnesota Turkey. It’s the ultimate place to (wait for it …) talk turkey to curious folks and you’ll also find THE BEST turkey sandwiches in the land at our restaurant, Turkey To Go.
I’m serious. These sandwiches are everything. (And they were voted the 1st ever People’s Choice for Best Fair Food in 2012!)
So in honor of the Minnesota State Fair, here’s a list of my top spots to get your Gobble On. If you’re at the fair this year, I hope you’ll stop by any of these options and let me know what you think!
