Happy Sunday, friends!
My boys and I had a great couple of days. Yesterday, we hopped in our car to find some fall colors (a bit elusive with the cloudy skies and rain) and grab lunch at this out-of-the-way (see also hole-in-the-wall) restaurant. The burgers (and chicken strips, of course) and tots were absolutely fantastic as was the atmosphere – just a totally casual, local joint and Joe was psyched that it was all decked out for Halloween.
Later, Teacher Man and I did some work in one of our rooms in the basement because, well, I have some news. 🙂 I signed up to be a LuLaRoe Independent Fashion Consultant and now I’m in the queue to make this dream a reality! Hopefully in about 6-8 weeks, I’ll get the call that I am approved to “onboard”, which means I can order my initial inventory and start selling!
The room we spiffed up was a bit of unused office space for us – generally a holding bin for our house and financial files for the most part, so making this my “LuLaRoom” was a natural. I spent the past few evenings going through those files (so much ancient paperwork to purge!), and then yesterday we reorganized the space, got rid of the computer desk, washed the window, touched up some paint, and dusted/vacuumed. (Thank you, Teacher Man!)
If you follow my blog or Instagram account, then you know I’m a huge LuLaRoe clothing fan – I love the colors and huge array of patterns, and I think the different styles are so flattering on a wide range of women. I’ve got a lot of work to do to be successful, of course, but both Teacher Man and I excited to start this new business venture!
And just to clarify, I am not quitting my day job anytime soon, although I do anticipate having to prioritize some of the things I typically do now in the evenings and on weekends so that I can put a lot of my focus on LuLaRoe after work hours. I am pretty sure I can hear a few of you asking, “how are you going to fit this in to your already busy life?” Well, I can tell you that the time factor to do LuLaRoe certainly weighed on my mind quite a bit, but ultimately it came down to the fact that I am really, really, really excited to do this. I’m going to take it one day at a time, and I already have some amazing role models to emulate.
So there you have it – my big news! 🙂
Beyond that, I was out doing a little fall work in my gardens today and enjoying the fall color we have right in our own backyard. How lucky are we to have these views from our backyard?
Have a great start to your week!

Congrats on your new venture! I’m so amazed at how confidently you wear all those styles and colors! I have a pair of leggings from them, but I haven’t found the guts yet to wear them out of the house. Add me if you start a facebook group! 🙂
Haha – thanks, Jamie! I don’t know why exactly but I feel like I found my kindred fashion spirit in all those patterns and colors! 🙂 I will definitely add you to my group when it’s time – I will be happy to help you find the right outfit that fits your style/personality!! Hope you, your husband and that adorable baby of yours are dong well!!
