Happy Sunday!
I’m watching the Minnesota Vikings game right now and waiting for Joe to get home from a friend’s house so I thought I’d jot a quick blog post for you all. Another fun weekend is almost in the books as we head straight into … Turkey Week!
Friday = Best Mom Ever Award as I cautiously drove Joe and two of his buddies to GameStop during a snowstorm so they could pick up their copies of the new Pokemon game. Then a sleepover commenced and all was right with the Pokemon world! 😉
It looks a lot like winter around here, although we lucked out and only got a couple of inches of snow (compared to a couple of feet in the northern part of the state – eek!). Time to break out the winter boots and jackets!
Teacher Man helped me put together the clothing racks for my “LuLaRoom” … I think I’m just a few days away now from getting the official call to join the company as a fashion consultant so it’s getting real and it’s getting exciting!
We had a fabulous family meal together Saturday night with Teacher Man cooking up his spicy jambalaya. I added some homemade beer bread and we had a great comfort meal. Later, we caught up on the two Survivor episodes we hadn’t seen yet. We love that show – it’s family-friend and fun for all of us to watch.
And speaking of Turkey Week … I’m kicking things off tomorrow on Facebook Live at the annual Thanksgiving presentation of Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton and the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association. You can catch it on Minnesota Turkey’s Facebook page at approximately 10:30 am CT!
If I have a chance, I will share four fabulous turkey recipes from some wonderful Minnesota food bloggers for #TurkeyTuesday here on the blog so stay tuned! 🙂
