I should’ve gone for a run tonight, but my mind wasn’t into it and my body felt tired. Rather than fight it, I decided to walk instead to help clear the clutter from my day.

And you know what? My eyes suddenly opened up to my surroundings and realized my little community has a lot of cool architecture and structures and landscapes just waiting to be captured in photos. Some are old, rustic, and even run-down but the good bones are there.

It felt good not to be going too fast. It felt good to be able to take in what I was seeing. It felt good to slow down and not think about anything too complicated or stressful.

It was good to just be.

I hope you enjoy the photos I took of my town. And I hope you have a moment or two this week where you can slow down too.
