I should be working right now. I have so. much. to. get. done. But alas, it’s 9:05 p.m. and I just want to blog some randomness. Is that so wrong?
1) I may have ordered two new pairs of shoes tonight. I know, I know — like I need more shoes. But you guys. Look at these beauties:
So obviously I was overtaken by the sheer amazingness of both pairs. Plus the fact that I’m leaving for San Diego in two weeks … a girl needs some new shoes for a trip, yes?
(The answer is always yes, by the way.)
So there’s that for tonight.
2) And now on to my love-hate relationship with this godawful season we’re calling winter around here. Yeah, yeah – Bold North and all that. But seriously? Our highs should be in the 20s by now – and the lows should not be below zero as consistently as they have been.
I get it – we had to show Super Bowl fans how cold it really gets here and how we embrace it (yadda yadda yadda). The game is now over and fans have left the state, so let’s get some warmer temps back, okay?
3) Regardless of the fact that it was -10 degrees when I woke up today, I wore a skirt. The heck with it – who needs pants when I’ve got tights with socks, and a heavy wool sweater on over a turtleneck. See, I told you – BOLD NORTH!!
4) And one more thing … this playlist. Oh my, am I loving it so much. It’s called “Smash Hit 80s” on Apple Music and it’s ginormous. (The photo shows just a teeny tiny fraction of the songs, trust me.) All the hits … well, at least so far, anyway. I haven’t even gotten to the end yet. I’ve working out to it every night and it’s awesome.
The only thing that could ruin it for me is if it doesn’t have Duran Duran on it. I’ll keep you posted.
Okay, that’s it for tonight. I’ll stop the randomness and go back to getting some actual work done. Maybe.
Or I could just continue to obsess about what I will pack for San Diego. 😉 Because it’s going to be way warmer there and I don’t have to bring my parka and winter hat.
Amen to that!
xoxo – Lara
You cannot leave the BOLD NORTH to go to San Diego without some NEW SHOES!! I think it is a law…
I heartily agree with that … it just might be illegal!! 😉
