Chinese Chicken Wings

Ingredients
  

  • 36 chicken wings or drummies
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Arrange wings on a shallow roasting pan.
  3. Combine soy sauce and sugars; pour mixture over chicken.
  4. Bake 30 minutes.
  5. Turn each piece of chicken using tongs and bake for another 30 minutes.
  6. Turn wings again and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until very tender.

Notes

I used a bag of Gold'n Plump chicken wing portions, found in the freezer section of the grocery store.
For the slow cooker version: double the sauce and combine chicken and sauce in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8-9 hours or low for 4 hours. Then transfer the wings and a little of the sauce to a shallow roasting plan lined with aluminum foil and broil on each side for about 7-8 minutes.
