Let’s chat about this incredible Cheesy Buffalo Turkey Dip, shall we?

Plenty of lean protein from the turkey breast, cheesy goodness from cream cheese and cheddar cheese, and a full cup of buffalo sauce … is there any question that Cheesy Buffalo Turkey Dip wouldn’t be fantastic for game day or your latest party?

Allow me to reiterate: enormously delicious and pretty much super naughty yummy. So fabulous, in fact, that we have been known to it eat it as a dip a Saturday night and decide on Sunday that it would be fairly epic as a sandwich spread for lunch … and for supper.

How could you go wrong? Turkey, hot sauce, cream cheese, and Cheddar cheese – all baked together into a creamy concoction that is fabulous with tortilla chips, pita triangles, Naan dippers, crackers, veggies like celery sticks and carrots, and yes, even in between a couple of slices of cottage bread.

(Let me segue for a brief moment into the hot sauce and spice level. For those of you who might be afraid of 1 cup of hot sauce, I can tell you that this dip has some nice heat but it’s not overwhelming at all. I did not want to run to the fridge to down a glass of milk after one bite. The cheese definitely tempers the heat a bit but you still get a nice kick.)

This is one of those quick and easy recipes that you can find with its own video on Facebook. In fact, that’s where I first saw it. (You know those videos, right? The ones where it’s filmed looking down on the prep area and you only see hands mixing up the recipe.) The folks at ServeTurkey.org put it together and are hoping people share the heck out of it.

I, of course, encourage you to do so. 🙂

On a cool note, at least for me, I know the folks behind ServeTurkey.org – in fact, I’ve been on the committee helping to plan some of this new campaign by the National Turkey Federation to get people excited about trying turkey in new and unexpected ways. Obviously, these are my turkey peeps and we are very enthusiastic about what we’re trying to accomplish!

By the way, this dip is even tastier when you have Super Mario and Luigi paper plates to serve it on. We’re fancy like that! 😉

Another Turkey Tuesday, another ingenious way to try turkey. (Make that, #TryTurkey!) In fact, add this to your Super Bowl plans right now – you won’t regret it!

Notes

For this recipe, I bought 1.7 pounds of fresh turkey breasts from my local supermarket and baked these in the oven with a little salt and pepper for about 30-35 minutes, until they reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees. This recipe would work equally as well with leftover roast turkey, too -- or chicken breasts!
