As I sit here in our porch on Christmas Eve “Eve” – the night before Christmas Eve – I am feeling very blessed. How could I not?
I have a family I adore.
I have a day job that keeps me on my toes and allows me to utilize my talents and passion for sharing agriculture’s story.
I have a new adventure (cue: LuLaRoe) that is adding some excitement into my day, and I’m selling clothes that are just so much fun.
We have everything we need, really, and we don’t have to worry financially about things like Christmas gifts or putting food on the table.
And I have you all, dear readers, who stick with me even when I have busy weeks and don’t write as often as I’d like.
We’ll be heading out tomorrow to make the family circuit for Christmas, weather-permitting. Tonight, we enjoyed our own little Christmas celebration, complete with lefse I made today (with Teacher Man manning the lefse grill like a pro) and gifts that made everyone smile.
I will plan to be back at some point next with a new blog post. In the meantime, I wish you the merriest of holidays and celebrations filled with joy, laughter and a sense of peace.
xoxo

Time to bake today – and it was seriously business with my apron and slippers! 🙂
I swear there are sweet rolls under all that cream cheese frosting! (Recipe – Chocolate Chip Cookie Sweet Rolls from The Pioneer Woman)
This was my 3rd year making lefse all by myself and I am proud to say, “I think I’ve got this now!”
Here I am with my lefse and sweet rolls … I love days like this that just keep me in the kitchen, baking for my family.
My boys … admiring the “race track” that Joe made his Dad for Christmas. It’s a side joke from a few weeks ago but I think it definitely was Teacher Man’s favorite gift – because it was made from the heart and also made us all laugh!
This was our first year in 15 without Earl the Pug at Christmas. I saw this big stuffed pug in Wal-Mart and just HAD to buy it for Joe.
My Joe Man!
A few of my gifts – including the latest cookbook from Ina Garten (love her!), a pie plate from The Pioneer Woman collection (also love her!), and new running tights … which help me handle all the cooking/baking I love to do. 🙂
And finally … this gorgeous Pandora ring from Teacher Man. It looks like a miniature garden on my finger!
