Apparently I took full advantage of a three day weekend … so much fun packed in, let me tell you!
Friday, my sister, niece and I took my mom out for our 3rd annual early Mother’s Day pedicure adventure and we enjoyed lunch out and some shopping in downtown Excelsior, Minnesota. What a fun day!

On Saturday, I went golfing with my boys and then we headed to the farm out in Hector to see our niece, Audree, at her prom grand march.

I haven’t golfed much in a couple of years because of my recurring tennis elbow problem, and it certainly showed! 😉 But … the positive story here is that my elbow is feeling a lot better (fingers crossed) so I’m hoping this means more golf outings with the fam.The post-game Gatorade and beer … on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.Once out a the farm, we kicked off a little happy hour ahead of the Kentucky Derby with some mint juleps!Sisters!And a little hairstyle fix for Morgan right before the prom grand march. I used to braid her mama’s hair all the time when we were growing up. 🙂 Four of us are pretty excited to be at the prom grand march for BL-H High School … can you guess who isn’t?! LOLMiss A and her very tall, very handsome date!Audree looked beautiful and I loved her dress! She also announced she has decided to attend the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities next fall and major in international business. #GoGophers 🙂
We finished the night with some champagne to toast my sister’s new promotion at work and a homemade ice cream cake for my brother-in-law’s 40th birthday. (Unfortunately he was home sick and couldn’t enjoy his own birthday cake!) Plus, we celebrated an early Mother’s Day with cards and a gift for my mom.
Today Teacher Man and I tackled a to-do list at home that included laundry (more than I realized!), more garden clean-up and a trip to Menard’s, first lawn mowing session of the season, cleaning and washing the car, groceries for the week, and some LuLaRoe order shipping.
Whew. I told you I maximized the weekend! 😉 Now life gets back to normal with work and school, including a trip to Kansas City for me this week to attend the Animal Agriculture Alliance Summit.
May is definitely kicking off in a big way and it’s only going to get busier. Stay tuned, friends!
