Amazing what can happen when you leave for four days and you come back to inspect your gardens

Different flowers are blooming and plants are finally growing! The veggies are coming along with some ready for harvest.

Get those praise hands up!

My poor gardens, though, will probably have to handle more neglect than tender loving care this summer. I’ve been on the go for a month and our 12-day trip to France and Ireland is coming up in just over a week. But these things happen in life. I’ll just enjoy the gardens day-by-day … and tell friends they can come over and harvest whatever they can find while we’re gone!

I hope you enjoy a few photos, taken tonight as I walked about the gardens!

Asiatic lilies and ‘Bubblegum’ Petunias … the colors clash, but that doesn’t bother me!

The ‘Annabelle’ Hydrangeas are, as usual, stunning this time of year!
