As we head into the new week, I want to share a few good things from my weekend at home.

And by the way, I can’t believe Easter is a week from today. The days are definitely all running together, aren’t they?

It was a good Sunday here. I cleaned up some of my gardens – raking last fall’s leaves, unearthing my perennials just starting to bust through the soil, and marveling at how quickly my garlic is now growing. It felt good to get out into the sunshine and realize that the earth continues to roll on forward with spring, even as it seems like the world is in this surreal and weird groundhog day situation.

I also tried Instacart grocery delivery for the first time and was impressed with how quick it was. I shopped online at Cub Foods and in less than two hours, my groceries were delivered to my front door. Wow!

Okay, back to a few more good things I captured this weekend:

1) Homemade focaccia bread via this easy recipe from Longbourn Farms.

2) Mindless television when I need it – cue Real Housewives of New York City. (No judging!)

3) My happy place – our patio on a warm(ish) spring evening.

4) Standing Saturday evening happy hours via Zoom with my family – definitely a very good thing.

5) A new credenza for my office, thanks to a great deal I found on Wayfair.com.

6) I made some masks from all of my leftover LuLaRoe leggings today … these are no-sew and super easy, which is important for me as I am sewing-challenged. 😉 You can view the video here.

Our week ahead looks much the same as last the last one – no surprise there. Distance learning for Joe, distance teaching for Teacher Man, and moving forward with rescheduling and other details for some of the events my business is coordinating.

We’re looking forward to some additional sunny spring days ahead. Take care and stay healthy, friends!

xoxo – Lara
